The German Association for Special Education (vds), represented by Federal Chair Stephan Prändl and Federal Press Officer Marianne Schardt, will be present at the Institute for Special Education of the St. Petersburg Wallenberg Institute from October 12th – 15th 2014.
Joined by Prof. Dr. Clemens Hillenbrand and three young academics of Oldenburg University (Marie-Christine Vierbuchen, Dr. Annika Schell, Carolin Reinck) the German representatives will participate in the 4th International Forum, themed “Barrier-free environment in school and society”.
The opening talk of the three-day event will be held by Dr. R.W. Demjantschuk, Vice Head of School, on the topic of “Barrier-free environment in school and society”. In sequel to the opener there will be scientific talks held by Prof. Dr. Clemens Hillenbrand, Dr. W.M. Sorokin, Prof. Dr. L.S. Schpilenja, Dr. N.W. Zemljannych, and Dr. E.W. Mettus.
On October 13th young German and Russian academics will offer seminars on current topics in the field of Inclusive Education. The co-operation between the German Association for Special Education and the Wallenberg Institute has been running since early 2013 and is to be expanded particularly in the field of the promotion of young academics.
