Sergej Besprozvannyy, postgraduate of Wallenberg Institute’s department of Special Needs Education, visited Würzburg in the course of the international co-operation with the German Association for Special Education (vds). Unfortunately, Head of Wallenberg Intitute, Professor Dr. Ljudmila Michajlovna Schipizyna, had to cancel her attendance for health reasons.
In the course of this exchange National Chairman Stephan Prändl had organised a meeting with Prof. Stephan Ellinger of Würzburg’s Julius-Maximilians-University and Prof. Clemens Hillenbrand of Oldenburg’s Carl von Ossietzky-University in order to talk through concrete arrangements for further co-operation between both universities and the Petersburg Wallenberg Institute.
The main objectives to meet are SNE teachers’ training on one hand and the concrete in-class implementation of inclusion at school as well as the school-job transition in both Russia and Germany on the other.
International cooperation of young academics shall be particularly focused on in the future. Another meeting has been scheduled for October 2014 in St. Petersburg accordingly – the first St. Petersburg symposium – featuring two postgraduates of either German university involved, accompanied by Profs. Hillenbrand and Ellinger.
